First Eucharist

First Eucharist marks an important milestone in a child’s life: their first opportunity to receive the Body and Blood of Christ. Preparation for first communion begins after the candidate has received his/her first reconciliation. The candidates and their parents attend three preparation sessions held on Saturday afternoons once per month during January, February and March. First Eucharist is a parish celebration and takes place during the Easter season at Sunday Masses.

At Sacred Heart, we are committed to provide personal attention to all of our parishioners by providing an Eli Minister, who is trained to guide individuals and families through the sacramental process. The Eli minister will explain the process for preparing for First Eucharist and assist you in registering for preparation classes.
