Eucharist
Traditionally,
those preparing to celebrate the sacrament of Eucharist for the
first time must be at least 7 years of age. Candidates and their
families are expected to participate in preparation sessions as
well as the liturgical celebrations.
First
Penance
Candidates
and their families are invited to take part in our Penance preparation
process.
Confirmation
Confirmation
is based on a student's readiness and desire to celebrate the
sacrament. Traditionally, candidates who are in High School are
invited to take part in our preparation process. It is understood
that those who are seriously seeking to become a full member of
the church will attend Mass at Sacred Heart parish on a weekly
basis as well as take part in our Confirmation retreat and interview
process.
In addition, all requirements of the Confirmation process (which
is separate from Religious Education) must be met.
