Sacramental Preparation Teams
Members of the Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation and Marriage preparation teams assist those who are interested in the reception of a sacrament to discern their readiness. Members of each sacramental preparation team are needed to facilitate the catechetical preparation sessions, and prepare candidates to celebrate the Sacrament during the liturgies of the parish faith community. Training and materials are provided.

Eli Ministry
Eli ministers welcome new parishioners to Sacred Heart and introduce them to the many opportunities of parish life. Eli ministers meet with all parishioners seeking the reception of a sacrament to assist them in their understanding of sacramental readiness, to ensure they fully comprehend the scope of each sacrament, their responsibilities to their children and the faith once they receive the sacrament. Ministers who have a welcoming nature, knowledge of the Catholic Faith and the mission of Sacred Heart are needed to continue the work of this important ministry.

Men’s Parish Retreat
These retreats focus on personal spiritual growth and building friendships with other men of the parish. During the retreat there are talks, small group discussion, and opportunities for silent reflection. Often, participants gather after the retreat at regular intervals throughout the year to maintain friendships and faith-sharing.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
RCIA is the process by which adults become Catholic, receive sacraments they missed as a child or return to the Church. Team members and sponsors are needed to provide education, hospitality, support and facilitation at gatherings and to guide catechumens on their journey toward a fuller practice of their faith.
